Cleone Mildred Dunne was born Feb. 19, 1924 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of William and Emma
(Detloff) Rees. She grew up on a farm in Seney, Iowa and later moved with her family to Le Mars where she attended Le Mars High School, graduating in the class of 1942. She began working at the Plymouth County Court House. On February 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to John P. "Jack" Dunne in Le Mars. The couple lived in northwest Iowa, where Jack did general farm work. In 1961, they moved to Grove City and in 1970, they moved to the Willmar area, where Cleone began working at the Jennie-O Foods. Following Jack's death on April 3, 1991, Cleone continued to be employed by Jennie-O
Foods for over 35 years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmar.

Cleone enjoyed crocheting and visiting with friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed working and keeping busy.

On Thursday, December 30, 2004 Cleone died at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Wilmar at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her sons: Robert (and Lois) Dunne of Pennock, Dennis (and Sue) Dunne of Winsted; son-in-law Walley Klingelhut of Ketchikan, Alaska; six grandchildren; Jamey (and Shanna) Dunne, Russell and Nicole) Dunne and great-grandson, Hunter, Brian Dunne, Curtis Dunne, Ivan Klingelhut, Alex Klingelhut; brothers; Harold Rees of Mountain Lake, Melvin Rees of Luverne: and several nieces and nephews.

Cleone was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Patty Jo Klingelhut in May 2001 grandson Matt Klingelhut, brothers; Orval Rees, Wallace Rees, sister Lila Rees and sister in laws; Lois Rees and Ann Rees.

Internment is at Cloverleaf Cemetery Willmar, Minn.
