PARENTS: daughter of Andrew and Mary (Beelner) Loutsch
SPOUSE & DATE of MARRIAGE: Ed Guntren, April 18, 1950
PLACE OF MARRIAGE: Remsen, Iowa
OCCUPATION: She was employed at the Farmers Savings Bank in Remsen as a teller from 1948 to 1952. The couple made their home in Remsen until 1966, when they moved to LeMars where he was Plymouth County sheriff and she was sheriff’s matron. In 1978, they returned to Remsen. Mrs. Guntren was honored as Mother of the Year in 1972 by the LeMars Chamber of Commerce.
SURVIVORS: include her husband; six daughters; three sons; a son-in-law; 13 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a brother, Andy “Sonny” Loutsch Jr. of Remsen.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: her parents; and a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Donna) Britton.
PLACE of BURIAL: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Remsen, Iowa
