OCCUPATION: He worked in the Remsen area as a farm laborer and later at Bloomingdahl Hatchery in Remsen. In Paullina they owned and operated Galles Produce. In 1959 they moved to Shenandoah, Iowa, where Mr. Galles worked for a large produce company. He worked for the Shenandoah Community Schools and a local bank in the 1960s, retiring in 1970. Mrs. Galles died Oct. 6, 1970.
SURVIVORS: include three sons and their wives; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: a daughter, Ellen Marie in infancy; a brother, Albert; and two sisters, Mrs. Laurence (Martha) Shea and Mrs. Arnold (Loretta) Konz.
PLACE of BURIAL: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Remsen, Iowa
