OCCUPATION: He taught semi trailer driving classes at Western Iowa Tech Community College. He was currently driving truck for Vander Kooi Trucking, of Hinton, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He also served in the Air National Guard.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; a son, Scott C. Galyen, of Des Moines; his mother; and a sister and her husband, Phyllis and Marshall Skinner of Downey, Calif.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: his father and a half-brother, Leslie Galyen.
