PLACE OF MARRIAGE: in Midway Lutheran Church near Battle Creek, Iowa
OCCUPATION: He owned and operated trucks in the Battle Creek area. He farmed for several years near Cushing and, in 1955, took up farming in the Kingsley area. He began Groth Auto Sales in 1964, eventually building a new car wash and garage for auto repair. He also sold seed corn and beans for several years until his retirement in 1993.
SURVIVORS: include his wife; four daughters and their husbands; a son; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two brothers and their wives, Alfred and Dorothy Groth of Cushing and Laverne and Willa Mae Groth, of Joplin, Mo.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: four brothers, LeRoy, Elmer, Lester, and Earl; three sisters, Clarinda Camarigg, Geneva Weinert and Dorothy Ludvigson; and a great granddaughter, Laekyn Fischer.
