FERN M. DREESZEN

WESTFIELD, Iowa—Fern M. Dreeszen, 99, of Westfield died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Akron Care Center in Akron, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westfield Congregational Church, with the Rev. Steve Jewett officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mrs. Dreeszen was born Feb. 13, 1901, in Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Ida (Squibb) Mulheron. She moved with her family to Westfield as a child and attended rural schools near Westfield. She then attended Sunnyside High School in rural Westfield.

She married Bryan Dreeszen on April 4, 1923, in Adaville, Iowa. He died Jan. 15, 1980.

She was a member of Westfield Congregational Church and enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Doris and Donald Brundeen of Akron and Arlene and Lowell Morehead of Westfield; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters, three brothers, and a great grandson.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Mark and Herb Dreeszen, Wayne and Russ Brown and Dale Harkness.
