Mrs. Schierling was born July 1, 1939, in Westfield, the daughter of Basil and Gladys (Campbell) Hoffman. She attended school in Westfield, and later worked as a nurses aide in Sioux City, Riverside, Calif., and Akron.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Soloman, and Rod Soloman and his wife, Amy, all of Westfield; a daughter, Diane McFarland of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Hoffman of Nevada, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Daryled Hoffman.
Pallbearers will be Jim, Jason, Eric, Robert and Ronnie Soloman, Anthony and Roy Dominguez, and Lyndon Hamann.
~Transcriber's Note: When viewing the cemetery stone, please note that Hoffman was her maiden name and Schierling a married name. Likely a first married surname was Soloman, because her two sons had that surname.
