TERRY L. PORSCH

Terry L. Porsch, 65, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center after a long battle with cancer.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Westfield Congregational United Church of Christ in Westfield, Iowa, with the Rev. Steve Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Township Cemetery at Westfield. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City.

Terry L. Porsch was born on a farm near Kingsley, Iowa, on May 28, 1939, the son of Harry J. and Loretta (Wetrosky) Porsch. He attended and graduated from high school in Westfield.

He married Karon Dean on Aug. 30, 1958, at Whitfield United Methodist Church in Sioux City. He was employed by Western Contracting and the former Iowa Public Service Co.

Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing, restoring tractors and spending time at his house in Westfield. He also was a NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife, Karon; a son, Neil Porsch, of Sioux City; a daughter, Vicki, and her husband, Mark McCuddin, of Sioux City; his mother, Loretta Porsch of Sioux City; two brothers, Neal Porsch of Donnellson, Iowa, and Gale Porsch and his wife, Ha, of Sioux City; three sisters, Jean Smith of Sioux City, Judy and her husband Jim Heck of Bronson, Iowa, and Joy and her husband, Alvin Vandentop, of Hawarden, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Mandi Kay and Chad.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry.
