JOHN S. CONWAY

WESTFIELD, Iowa—John S. Conway, 78, of Westfield died Saturday, March 4, 1995, at Indian Hills Care Center in Sioux City after a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron with Monsignor Gerald Lyon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Akron. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. today, with a Scripture prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

Mr. Conway was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Westfield, the son of William and Camilla (Martin) Conway. He graduated from Westfield High School. He bought and sold cattle for various commission companies at the Sioux City stockyards his entire life.

Survivors include his two brothers, Milton and his wife, Roberta Conway, of Sioux City and Raymond Conway of Palm Springs, Calif.; a sister, Catherine McGillen of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Martin and Lou.

Pallbearers will be Tom and John Martin, Bob Tentinger, Jeff Buryanek, Bill Wecker and Jon Conway.
