C.P. “PAT” CONWAY
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, ---C.P. “Pat” Conway, 86, of South Sioux City died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Charles Uhlik officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mr. Conway was born June 7, 1909, in Westfield, Iowa, the son of James R. and Mary (Slattery) Conway. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1927 and attended Trinity College in Sioux City. He married Helen E. Manning Sept. 27, 1941. He was employed by the Dakota County ASCS and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service. He was a prominent purebred hog and cattle breeder in Dakota County with is farming operation.
Mr. Conway was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in South Sioux City.
Survivors include his wife; five sons and their wives, Gene and Addie of Carrollton, Texas, Jerry and Kathy of Wayne, Neb., Jon and Sue of South Sioux City, Joe and Kristin of Lincoln, Neb., and Jeff and Julie of Denver, Colo.; a daughter and her husband, Judith and Robert F. Kluge of Fairbury, Neb.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Emmet, Thomas and James and a sister, Julia.
Pallbearers will be his sons and a son-in-law, Robert, Gerald, Joe, John and Jeff Conway and Robert Kluge.
