LE MARS, Iowa—Emma F. Collmann, 83, of LeMars, died Sunday, June 11, 1995, at Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural LeMars with the Rev. Harrison Klein officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home, LeMars.

Mrs. Collmann was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Grant Township, the daughter of Eilert and Mary (Frerichs) Dirks. She attended rural school. On Oct. 9, 1930, she married Clarence R. Collmann at Mammen Town, Grant Township. The couple lived in Plymouth County their entire married life. He died Dec. 31, 1984. She had worked as a seamstress at Aalfs Manufacturing and Jo-Nee Manufacturing in LeMars for several years. She had been a resident of Plymouth Manor since January 1995.

Mrs. Collmann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and former member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 241.

Survivors include a daughter, Lorena “Renie” Pederson of Mason City; a sister, Edna and her husband, Joe Hardacre of LeMars; two grandsons, David C. Pederson and Derek C. Pederson; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carrie Bruns, Lena Hartmann, and Emma Dirks; three brothers, John, Fred and Martin; a son-in-law, David D. Pederson and a granddaughter, Mary.
