LOIS (MOIR) CLARK

AKRON, Iowa---Lois (Moir) Clark, 72, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Akron, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at an Arizona nursing home.

Mrs. Clark was born April 26, 1928, in Akron, the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Simmons) Moir. She attended the University of Nebraska.

She married Vic Clark. The couple lived in various locations while her husband served in the U.S. Marine Corps. They later settled on a farm in South Dakota. They moved to Arizona in 1962. She retired from the Tempe Elementary School District. Her husband died in October 1992.

Survivors include three daughters, Cassie, Debbie and her husband, Mitch, and Vikkie; five grandchildren, Jenny, Tom, Clint, Kirk and Sean; two great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, June and Ray Heeren of rural Akron; a brother-in-law and his wife, Cecil and Dot Clark; two sisters-in-law, Mae Pittman and Connie Clark; and 23 nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronald Moir; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vern and Orpha Clark; a brother-in-law, Vance Clark; and four sisters-in-law, Jean, Effie, Florine and Edna.
