SHELDON, Iowa---Amanda Martha Camarigg, 93, of Sheldon died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Sheldon, with the Rev. Emmanuel Dass officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 2 – 4 p.m. at Sanborn Funeral Home in Sanborn, Iowa.

Mrs. Camarigg was born June 3, 1907, near Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Emma (Roepke) Zeglin. She was raised in the Climbing Hill, Anthon and Correctionville, Iowa, areas. She graduated from Correctionville High School.

She married Chris Camarigg on Oct. 11, 1927, in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Correctionville and Washta, Iowa, areas before moving to Sheldon in 1947. Her husband died in 1967. She was employed in the dietary department of Sheldon Hospital. She entered Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon in 1992.

She was a member of Sheldon United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, tatting, quilting and playing cards.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Dean and Judy of Borne, Texas, and Craig and Corky of Sanborn; a daughter Marlys Langholz of Spencer, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a great grandson; a daughter-in-law, Audrey Camarigg; a brother, Fred Zeglin; and five sisters, Hattie Bappe, Elsie Camarigg, Betty Baird, Lillian Lohse and Agnes Rhodes.

Pallbearers will be Rick, Mark, Eric and Neal Langholz, Dwayne Camarigg and Mark Bohnet.
