Justine "Tina" Feller, 94, of Le Mars, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Justine "Tina" Orban was born Sept. 9, 1913, on the family farm west of Merrill, in Johnson Township, the daughter of John and Anna (Dondelinger) Orban. Tina attended country school near her home. She was united in marriage to John M. Feller on Oct. 2, 1934 at Assumption Catholic Church at Merrill. Tina and John farmed near Oyens for several years and later purchased a farm west of Le Mars where they farmed until their retirement in 1985 when they moved to Le Mars. John died on July 15, 1999.

Tina had attended St. Catherine's Catholic Church when they lived near Oyens and had been a member of St. James Catholic Church since 1966. Tina enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and later in life enjoyed her great-grandchildren.

Tina enjoyed gardening, baking, and crocheting. In their younger years, Tina and John enjoyed going to dances. Tina will be remembered for her graciousness and for her talent of making homemade bread.

Survivors include her two sons, LaVerne Feller and his wife Darlene of Le Mars and Marvin Feller and his wife Darlene of Shenandoah; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcie Huls of Le Mars and "Sis" Huls of Akron; a brother, Frank Orban and his wife Vi of Le Mars; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Orban; her husband, John; three sisters, Clara Wilmes, Mamie Harms, and Kathryn Schipper; and four brothers, Joe Orban and three brothers in infancy, Nick, Alfred, and John Orban.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Interment was in St. Catherine's Cemetery at Oyens. Visitations was after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with a 4 p.m. parish rosary followed by a 7 p.m. Scriptural wake service. Visitation continued Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers were Mike Feller, Jon Feller, Marlin Mortensen, Mark Feller, Jeff Feller, Brad Feller, and Eric Gibbs.
