R. WOOLWORTH DIES DUE TO HEART ATTACK

This community was shocked to hear that Robert H. Woolworth, 79, passed away Saturday in his home at Leeds due to a sudden heart attack.

Mr. Woolworth was born July 6, 1873, at Arena, Wisconsin, and came to Plymouth county with his parents as a small child. He followed the occupation of farming and raising stock at his place about two miles northeast of James, and was widely known for his civic activities. He had many friends in this territory who mourn his passing.

Retiring from the farm about eight years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Woolworth located in Leeds where he spent his remaining years.

Surviving are his widow, Leslie; six sons, Sylvester, Lawrence, Lee, and Howard, all of Sioux City, Glenn of Chicago, and Roy of Hinton; and a stepson, E.C. Ball of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Henshaw and Mrs. Ruby Foote, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Laura Hansen of LeMars; two brothers, Frank Woolworth of Los Angeles, Cal., and Sam Woolworth of Hinton; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Luce of San Diego, Cal., and Mrs. Rose Savage, of Marysville, Cal.; 43 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler funeral chapel in Sioux City. Rev. S.D. Huff officiated and burial was in Floyd Cemetery.
