WAS FORMER PERRY TOWNSHIP RESIDENT

Joseph Weiss, 85, a Sioux City resident for 30 years, died Friday at a hospital after an illness of three days. Mr. Weiss was born March 30, 1868, in Vienna. He came to America as a young man. Before moving to Sioux City, he farmed in District 3 in Perry township. He sold his farm where he had lived many years to Joe Vondrak.

Mr. Weiss married Mrs. Mary Vondrak-Brown in Sioux City. His wife and son preceded him in death.

Survivors include two step-daughters of LeMars. He was a member of Cathedral of the Epiphany parish.

Funeral services were at 9 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral. Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
