GRANT BROWN

Grant Brown of rural Akron passed away December 5, suddenly at his farm home. He was a retired farmer and was 65 years of age.

Mr. Brown was born March 13, 1892, in Plymouth county and was a lifelong resident of this county. He farmed near Adaville on the same farm for 44 years.

He was united in marriage to Viola Clarey on March 19, 1913, at Adaville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 7, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Adaville, at 2 p.m. with burial in the Pleasant Valley cemetery near there. Rev. L.L. Musser officiated at the last rites and the Mauer funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, two sons, Armond Brown of Merrill and Arden Brown of Akron; also one sister, Mrs. Olive (sic Alice) Bryant of Akron; three brothers, Nelson Brown and Elmer Brown of Merrill and Bertsel, also of Merrill.

He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne, his parents and two sisters and one brother.
