MRS. MARGARET BRITT
PASSED AWAY FRIDAY

Mrs. Margaret Britt, 72, a resident of Stanton township most of her life, died in the hospital at LeMars last Friday, after an illness of five weeks.

Mrs. Britt was born January 27, 1880, at Hazel Green, Wisconsin. She came to the LeMars vicinity at the age of six years with her parents.

She was married to Thomas Britt February 22, 1905. They farmed in Stanton township until his death in 1949. She moved to LeMars the same year.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Allison of LeMars; three sons, Minert, Aloysius and Vernon, all of LeMars; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Kirchberg of Rush City, Minn., Mrs. Lou Sitzmann and Mrs. Frank Sitzmann, both of Kingsley, and Mrs. Jake Neyens of Hinton; a brother, John Ruhland of Hinton, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph church. Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.D. Fisch officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery in Lincoln township.
