FUNERAL SERVICES FOR
MRS. A. A. BURKEFuneral services for Mrs. A. A. Burke, of Humboldt, Iowa, and known to many in this community, were held Thursday, April 22, at 2 p.m., at the First Lutheran Church at Humboldt, with the Rev. Oscar Rem officiating. Interment was made in the Dayton, Iowa, cemetery.
Mrs. Burke was born June 11, 1877, at Dayton, Iowa, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Dayton. She was united in marriage to A. Adelbert Burke, Dec. 18, 1895. They resided near Dayton for several years, then living in Alden, Story City and Randall, Iowa, before moving to Humboldt in 1929. For five years they resided in Riverside, Cal., before returning to Humboldt last October.
Mrs. Burke had been in failing health the last two years and passed away April 20, 1954.
She is survived by her husband, daughter, Mrs. Irene Brehm, of Hinton; a son, Clemence De. Burke, of Humboldt, grandchildren Jack and Marylan Brehm, and Mary and Don Burke.
