Dallas W. Mann, 65, of Loveland, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. Cremation will follow the service today. Visitation will be noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Mann was born June 8, 1939, to Lauren and Pearl (Strong) Mann, in Akron, Iowa. He attended school in Sioux City. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1957 to 1960.

He married Roberta Dunne on Aug. 16, 1960, in South Sioux City. He worked at Carlson Machine Co./Sioux Tools and also for the Sioux City School District maintenance department, before moving to Fort Collins, Colo., in 1979. He then was employed with Central Electric and All-Phase Electric before retiring due to ill health in 1999.

He was a member of Northern Colorado Classic Chevy Club. He enjoyed trips to Central City, Colo., with his daughter, Shelly and her husband, Lupe. He loved working on one of his classic cars. He loved going to swap meets with his son, Doug, and loved watching his children's sporting events and playing cribbage. He also loved playing with his grandchildren and his dog, Chester.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Mann of Loveland; three sons and their wives, Doug and Jill Mann of Fort Collins, Colo., Dallas J. "DJ" and Lora Mann of Loveland and Joel and Loni Mann of Evans, Colo.; two daughters and their husbands, Shelly and Lupe Arellano of Wellington, Colo., and Sherry and Michael Weiss of Macon, Ga.; his grandchildren, Courtney Mann of Fort Collins, Dallas D. "Dakota" Mann and Deseray Mann, both of Loveland, Zachary Weiss of Macon, Ga., and two grandchildren on the way; six sisters and husbands, Donna and Bob Cole of Longmont, Colo., Sharon and Butch Heiner of Longmont, Colo., Lorna and Dale Stingley of Sioux City, Lynette and Ralph Cook of Sioux City, Sue Mann and Richard of Sioux City and Marlene Hunt of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother and his wife, Steven and Violet Mann of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl; and his parents.
