Geneva Tucker

AKRON--Geneva Tucker, 68, of Akron, died Monday, March 13, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Mrs. Tucker was born Oct. 24, 1926, at Hawarden, the daughter of Harry and Willa (Richardson) Jager. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1944. On Jan. 23, 1946, she married Ellis Tucker in Akron. She was employed for many years by Dr. Garvin and IPS before retiring in 1992.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Beverly Fest of Boulder, Colo., and Cindy Williams of Gardiner, Maine; two sons, Gary Tucker of Atlantic, and Roger of Memphis, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Marienau of Hawarden, Ruth Benda of Hawarden and Lois Plueger of Rock Valley; and three brothers, Bob Jager of Hawarden, Ron Jager of Rock Valley and Jim Jager of Huntsville, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harry, Gordon, and Ralph Jager and a sister, Betty Vipond.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron with the Rev. Donald Greenough officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday), with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
