Elliott spent most of his working years in the restaurant field. He worked at various places in the area in all aspects of the business. Most recently he owned and operated Wiener's Pantry in Le Mars. Elliott was proud and interested in his German heritage and specialized in that cuisine at the Pantry. He was forced to close the restaurant due to his failing health. After some time he was able to return to work part-time at Hungry's in Dakota City, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father Marvin on Feb. 2, 2001, a sister Barbara; and a niece, Maggie.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sioux City. The Rev. Craig Bock will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City.
