ED FISCHER DIES DUE TO HEART ATTACK
Ed Fischer passed away Friday afternoon at the home of his son, William, northwest of Hinton where he had been assisting in threshing grain. It is said, while atop the threshing machine he suffered a heart attack and collapsed as he was getting down off the machine.
The son of John and Hilda Fischer, Edward J. Fischer, was born April 26, 1884, at Springfield, Ill. Before locating in this part of Plymouth county, he had lived at Remsen where he was well known. He farmed for a number of years in this vicinity and for the past few years he has resided in Hinton where he followed the occupation of carpenter.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Vroman of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Robert Neighbors, of Viola, Ill., and three sons, William and John of Hinton and Eugene of Moline.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Luken funeral home in LeMars, with Rev. Elmer Jacobs of Merrill, officiating, and burial was in the Remsen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard, Henry and Fred Roehrich, Otto Schultz, Carl and Fred Harms.
