IRENE BLACKMORE

Mrs. Otto (Irene) Blackmore of LeMars, 75, lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Friday (Sept. 16, 1988) at Plymouth Manor Care Center in LeMars after an illness of one year.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John American Lutheran Church, Merrill, with Rev. Frank Philipp officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Visitation was after 2 p.m. Saturday.

The former Irene Klave, she was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Plymouth County to Fred and Rose Schmidt Klave. She married Otto Blackmore June 19, 1936, at Sioux City. She was a member of St. John Church and A.L.C.W. of the church.

Survivors are her husband, Otto, LeMars; a son, Jerry Blackmore of Denison; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Klave of Sioux City; three sisters, Iona Blackmore of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Henry (Anita) Berkenpas of LeMars and Mrs. George (Joan) Trometer of Merrill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
