Funeral services for Thomas Geo. Bogner, longtime Merrill and Hinton resident, will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 1953, at the residence in Merrill at 1:30 and at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Johnson township, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Gustav M. Meyer will officiate and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill.
Thomas Bogner was born November 22, 1891, at Decatur, Indiana. He was a carpenter and tavern operator in recent years. He came to Hinton in 1911 and lived since in the Hinton and Merrill vicinity. He passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars after a lingering sickness.
On March 3, 1945, he was united in marriage with Myrtle Utesch in Johnson township, Plymouth county. He was 61 years, 5 months and 11 days of age.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; two daughters, Carol Joy at home; Mrs. Leone Lawrence, Merrill; Ben Bogner, Merrill; three grandchildren; 7 sisters, Mrs. Ida Lose, Mrs. Minnie Murray, Mrs. Augusta Wynn, Mrs. Frances Birley, Mrs. Marie Bruggencate, Mrs. Okie Trometer, Sister May Carolita.
Deceased was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Margaret, and a son, Robert, and 8 brothers and sisters.
