HOEFLING, TOOKER, VANDENBERG

Darold D. Hoefling, 62, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Harvest Morningside in Sioux City following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Morningside Assembly of God Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Tom Jacobs officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Darold D. Hoefling was born July 21, 1940, in Sioux City, the son of Harold and Lauretta (Tooker) Hoefling. He attended school in Sioux City. he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1965. He attended school at Western Iowa Tech Community College and graduated with a welding degree. He worked at Prince Hydraulics and later at Stephen Body until his retirement.

He married Annette Vandenberg on June 18, 1965, in Sioux City.

He was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church, where he enjoyed participating in Bible Study groups. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include a son, Jason Hoefling of North Sioux City; a daughter, Lorren Hoefling of Sioux City; four brothers, Harley, Jerry and Ronnie, all of California, and Donnie of Minnesota; a sister, Jackie of Minnesota; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eileen Golden.
