VIOLET F. BUDDE
Violet F. Budde, 89, of Sioux City, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Clyde O. Pritchett of Evangelical Church of South Sioux City officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Budde was born Dec. 31, 1910, in Merrill, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Caroline (Beseke) Helm.
She graduated from Liberty Consolidated School near Merrill. She graduated from Samuel’s Beauty School in Sioux City in 1931.
She was employed as a beautician for more than 40 years at T.S. Martin, Style Rite Beauty Salon and then at Blue and Gray Beauty Salon. She retired in 1969.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and enjoyed playing bingo.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Richard and Doreen Evert of Hinton, Iowa; two grandchildren, Darla Clause and Dan Evert; two great granddaughters; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Helm.
Pallbearers will be Dan Evert, Craig Clause, Rick Hatch, Barbara Van Wyhe, Pam Plendl and Terry Bernhardt.
