LANORE BUBKE

KINGSLEY, Iowa --- Lanore Wilma Bubke, 68, of Kingsley, died Friday, March 15, 1996, at Indian Hills Care Center, in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley with the Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. The Earnest-Dickinson-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bubke, the former Lanore Wienert, was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Holstein, Iowa, the daughter of Bernhardt and Irene (Goettsch) Wienert. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1945 and from Buena Vista College. She taught school in Holstein, Gilmore City, Storm Lake, Kingsley, Correctionville and Lawton, Iowa. After teaching full time, she continued as a substitute teacher. She married Glen Bubke Jan. 22, 1949. The couple moved to Kingsley in 1951.

Mrs. Bubke was very active in the Sunday School program at First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, where she was a member. She also belonged to Rainbow Girls, Mary’s Circle, and Luther Women’s League.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Gordon and Susan of Pierson, Iowa; three daughters, Glenda and her husband Larry Larger of Picqua, Ohio, Gail Bubke of San Diego, Calif., and Karla and her husband Scott Gruis of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, Ann, Renee, Monica and Adam Bubke, Jason Bruntz and Andrew Larger; and one great granddaughter; and three brothers, Wilber and Earl of Holstein, and Lester of Rolla, Mo.
