HARRIET BEAUCHAMP
REMSEN, Iowa – Harriet Beauchamp, 77, of Remsen died unexpectedly Saturday, April 1, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with the Rev. Thomas J. Hart officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 3 p.m. by the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America, and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.
Mrs. Beauchamp was born Oct. 3, 1922, at Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of John and Dorthea (Burkhart) Murset. At the age of six months, she moved with her family to Los Angeles, Calif., where she was raised and educated.
On Aug. 16, 1940, she married Wesley Beauchamp at Los Angeles where they made their home. In 1961, they moved to Huntington Beach, Calif., in August 1974 they moved to Seipo, Utah and in January 1978 they moved to Livingston, Mont. Her husband died May 27, 1987. She moved to Remsen in June of 1987.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America, and Happy Siesta Health Care Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Doris and Steve Wurth of Remsen; a son and his wife, Don and Linda, of La Marque, Texas; five grandchildren, Valerie Loutsch, Darin and Craig Arnold, and Eric and Jack Beauchamp; eight great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Milton and Dorothy Murset of Temple City, Calif.; and brother-in-law and his wife, Stanley and Peg Beauchamp of Arcadia, Calif.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Beauchamp.
Pallbearers will be Craig and Darin Arnold, Tim and Wes Loutsch and Chet and Doug Wurth.
