SANFORD HINZMAN

LE MARS, Iowa --- Sanford “Sandy” Hinzman, 93, of LeMars, died Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars with the Rev. Shirley Textor officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hinzman was born Nov. 13, 1901, in Avon, S.D., the son of Fred and Emma (Peters) Hinzman. He attended school at Avon. On June 16, 1934, he married Marie Morehead at Elk Point, S.D. The couple lived in Omaha for many years. He had been a salesman and had worked in the shipping department of an auto parts store. They retired in 1976 and moved to LeMars. Mrs. Hinzman died July 1, 1987.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Lloyd Morehead of Akron; a sister-in-law, Winnie Morehead of LeMars, and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathrine Connors.
