Lillian Sabasta
Lillian Fae Sabasta, 73, of Hurricane, Utah, formerly of McCook Lake, S.D. and Sioux City, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, in St. George, Utah, of a lung disease.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Sabasta was born July 18, 1925, in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Vance Leland and Hannah (McInnes) Wise. She was raised in Sioux City and attended Central High School.
She married George William Prosser on Sept. 17, 1948. They divorced in 1962.
She married Gene Howard in 1964, He died in 1971.
She married Joe Sabasta on Dec. 31, 1973. The couple lived in McCook Lake. He died Dec. 23, 1992.
She moved to Hurricane in July 1997. She enjoyed playing slots.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Kathy and Ron Severson of Harrisburg Lakeside Estates, Utah; a son, Kirk Prosser of Bell, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Terri Flowers, Rick and Kerry Severson, Tracy Hunt, April Luingas and Trevor and Arlen Prosser; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, William "Bill" Weisenburger; two sisters, Marguerite Nathlich of Sioux City and Mildred Helin of Hurricane; and many nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, V.L. Wise and Hannah and David Weisenburger; and two sisters, Betty Jean Baker and Dorothy Mae Maynard.
