INFANT DAUGHTER OF DUANE OLSENS IS FOUND DEAD
Karen Lee Olsen, 2-month.old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Olsen, Le Mars residents who this fall moved to Orange City, was found dead in her crib Saturday morning, Dec. 18.
The baby had seemingly recovered from a cold when stricken, and apparently died after a sudden acute onslaught of the virus or a heart condition resulting from it.
Karen was born Oct. 1, 1954 at Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars. Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, Gary Dean, 4: maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edith Burkett in Texas; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Olson of Hartington, Neb.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran church, Le Mars. Rev. L. L. Belk officiated. Burial was in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten funeral home.
