Robert Mroczkowski, Husband of Former Merrill Resident, Dead
Robert Eugene Mroczkowski, 34, of 1406 West 21, Sioux City, died at St. Luke hospital there Sunday following an illness of several months.
He was the husband of the former Gladys E. Herman, Merrill.
He was born March 3, 1933, in Chicago and had lived in Sioux City for the last 15 years. He served as roadmaster clerk for Chicago Northwestern railroad and had lived in Chicago and Indiana before moving to Sioux City.
His marriage to Gladys E. Herman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Herman, Merrill, took place Oct. 1, 1961 in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley cemetery at Adaville under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, and four children, Susan, Kevin, Linda and Kelly, all of Sioux City; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mroczkowski of Burlington, Wis.; three brothers, Harry, Chester, and John, and six sisters, Jessie, Eleanor, Bernice, Lorraine, Florence and Laverne, all living in Illinois,
He was a world war 2 veteran and was a member of the railway clerks union.
