Michael Halverson, son of former Merrill resident, succumbs
Michael Halverson, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Halverson of 411 Utah St., Dallas, Tex., died in a Rochester, Minn., hospital Wednesday.
His mother is the former Mildred Taylor of Merrill who for a time was an employee in the Merrill telephone office.
Michael entered the hospital in Dallas last November and later was taken to Rochester with a lung infection.
En route home his parents were guests of her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Taylor Thursday evening. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Julius Yankovich of San Angelo, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Lester Herman and Mrs. Albert Thorpe.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor left Friday to attend funeral services in Dallas Monday.
He is survived by his parents and two younger brothers, Billy and Roney.
