Lois Spinklelink
Lois A. Spinklelink, 80 of Frazier Park, Calif., an Akron area native, died Sept. 6, 1991, at the Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield.
The former Lois A. Gabel was born July 27, 1911, in Preston Township, rural Akron, Plymouth County, to James Arthur and Anna Laura Strader Gabel. She graduated from LeMars High School and taught school for 30 years, much of this time in the Akron area.
Funeral was held Sept. 8 at Renaker-Klockgether Mortuary in Buena Park, Calif. Burial was in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
Survivors are two daughters, Carol Myers of Frazier Park and Mary Mercham of Buena Park; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lorena Gabel of Akron; Rena Gabel of Traverse City, Mich., and Loris Heeren of LeMars.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; a son John; her parents; and three brothers, James, Glen and Gene Gabel.
