Funeral services for Roy J. Gabel, 47, 2814 S. Glass street, who died Wednesday at a hospital after an illness of five weeks, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Grace Methodist church. Rev. Arthur J. Kindred, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Kluts, John Ericson, Jack Moore, Theodore Tindleland, Charles Riebel and James Witherspoon.
Mr. Gabel was born April 28, 1915, in Akron, Ia. He was raised in LeMars and he married Dorothy R. Cave of Marcus at Marcus April 6, 1947. He had resided in Sioux City since 1947 and was city salesman for Nuway Drug Service of South Sioux City.
Mr. Gabel was a member of Grace Methodist church. Survivors include the widow; a brother, Raymond of Alcestor, S. D.; and two sisters, Mrs. Violet Sampson of Aurelia, Ia., and Mrs. Fae Klomp of Corvallis, Ore.
