KATHERINE ROBERTSON
Katherine Robertson was born on October 9;1888 in Washington Township, Plymouth county Iowa and died at her beautiful home in Pittsburg Pennsylvania on April 1;1935. She was the first born child of Duncan and Belle Robertson, pioneer residents of this locality who thus morn the passing of a lovely daughter.
Katherine was married in Omaha Nebraska several year ago to Fred Solomon who with a son, Ronald survives. A son, Robert preceded the mother in death two years ago. Two brothers, Neil of StLawrence S.D. and John of Akron and three sisters, Mrs. S.O. Locer and Mrs. Harry Burgard of Lemars and Mrs. A.M. Dennler who lives on the old Robertson farm, with the parents, husband and son survive.
Mrs. Solomon was a brave and glorious soul. Faced with what she knew must be the early ending of her earthly life she was brave and cheerful to the very end. It was our privilege to be in her home for a little time just ten months before her death. Well she knew that her days were numbered even then but she did not complain nor offer a word of complaint. To us it seems an infinite mistake that one so young and so much needed should, be taken away but some time we shall understand.
The sympathy of every reader of these lines will go out to Mr. Solomon and his motherless little son. God give them comfort in this hour of trial.
