Mrs. J. A. Hummel
Mrs. Josie A. Hummel, 64, Sioux City, died Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Philip Beaubien, jr. , of Westfield, Ia., where she had been visiting for five weeks.
Mrs. Hummel was born June 1, 1894, at LeMars. She married John W. Hummel at Dakota City, Neb., in 1922. They moved to Sioux City in 1935. Mr. Hummel died April 1, 1956, in Sioux City.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Beaubien and Mrs. Elaine Michael, both of Westfield; a son, Raymond H. Olson, Sioux City; a stepson, Albert Hummel Westfield; three brothers, John McInnis of Akron, Ia., Theodore McInnis of Hinton, Ia., and Hector McInnis of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Hanna Weisenberger of Sioux City, Mrs. Grace Bockleman of Alcester, S.D., and Mrs. Mae Jones of Jefferson, S. D.; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the W. H. Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. Rev. Albert Walker, Pastor of the Congregational Church at Westfield will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mrs. Hummel.
