RURAL LE MARS, IOWA - Evelyn Bullington, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Union Township, Plymouth County, Iowa, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at a local hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
Evelyn Bernice Mc Cain was born on March 13, 1921, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of William and Doretta Mc Cain. On Aug. 5, 1940, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Bullington. They owned and operated Union Center Service in Union Township for many years before retiring to Carrizo Springs, Texas in 1972. Evelyn lived in Texas until 2004 when she moved to Mesa, Ariz.
Evelyn was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Carrizo Springs, Texas, where she was in charge of the congregation's missions program. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Marjorie and Warren Waterman of Mesa, Ariz., her granddaughters and their husbands, Courtney Waterman and John Meyer of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Andrea and Stuart Bridgers of Hickory, N.C.; and her great-granddaughters Emmalyn and Maggie Meyer and great-grandson Aidan Bridgers. She is also survived by sister and brother-in-law Helen and Jack Bowman of Kingsley, brother Bert Mc Cain and his wife Joann of Kingsley, sister Norma Horst of Sioux City, and sister and brother-in-law Alice and Tom Wingert of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bob.
Graveside services will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery at rural Le Mars. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow at the Mauer - Johnson Family Gathering Room.
