IVAN SCHULTZ

Ivan Schultz 87, of Swanville, Minnesota, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his residence at the result of a farm accident.

Ivan was born August 15, 1918 in Merrill, the son of Charles and Helena (Lippke) (Kehrberg)
Schultz. He attended country school near Merrill, and was a member of Stanton Evangelical
Church. He was united in marriage to Blanche Van Peursem on Sept 17, 1939 in Spencer. They farmed near Le Mars until 1950, when they purchased a dairy farm near Swanville, Minn. He also drove a milk truck in that area. The couple remained living on the farm until the time of his death.

He was a member of the Swanville Bible Church, where he served as financial secretary for two 20 year terms. He also served as the Culdrum Township supervisor, was on the Swanville school board and was an officer of the Swanville Rural Fire Association.

Ivan loved God, his country and his family very much.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche of 66 years, sons, Ronald (Jeanne) Schultz of Merrill, Daniel (Lynn) Schultz of Center City, Minn., John (Sandee) Schultz of Cambridge, Minn., Timothy of St. Paul, Minn. and Cynthia (Dennis) Kircher, of Burtrum, Minn.; daughter in law, La Vern Nelson of Rush City, Minn.; grandchildren, Jodi (Michael) Van Leeuwen, Tami (Kyle) Mullenix, Brenday (Dennis) Valentyn, Tom (Heather) Kircher, Keither Kircher, Nate (Shannon) Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Jason Schultz, Jeffery (Mary) Ben Schultz, Abbey Schultz and Grace Schultz; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Larry in 1988; grandchildren, Bradley Schultz and Stacie Schultz; brothers Edward Kehrberg and Carl Schultz; twin brother, Harry Schultz; and sister Alva Kehrberg.

Funeral Services were held Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Swanville. Pastor David Packo and Pastor Roland Jennings officiating. Burial was at Springbrook Cemetery in Swanville, Minn.

Pallbearers were Dean Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Jason Schultz, Nate Kircher and Ben Schultz. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Kircher and Keith Kircher.
