LE ROY V. WOEHLER

Funeral for LeRoy V. Woehler, 61, longtime Plymouth County resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Orange City. Pastor Dave Daumer will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, rural LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Woehler died unexpectedly Sunday (Jan. 14, 1990) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, after being stricken at home.

Mr. Woehler was born June 30, 1928, at Storm Lake to Otto and Dora Schramm Woehler. He married Shirley M. Eason June 13, 1959, at Remsen. The coupled farmed near Alta until 1961, when they moved to Plymouth County. Mr. Woehler was a school bus driver for LeMars Community Schools for nine years. He worked for the city of LeMars for three years and was a trustee of Elgin Township for 16 years. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Orange City.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Woehler, LeMars; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and husband Allan Phelan and Stephanie and husband Rod Jurgens, all of LeMars; a son, Joel Lee Woehler of LeMars; two brothers, Gene Woehler of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Herman Woehler of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Elva Jane Powers of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Tyler, Brandon, and Justin Phelan and Zachary and April Jurgens.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
