JAMES E. WAGNER

James Ellis Wagner, 63, of Iowa City, a former LeMars resident, died Saturday (April 28, 1979) in Kingsley of an apparent heart attack. He had visited for 2 days in Plymouth County.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mauer funeral chapel, LeMars, with Rev. Everett Staats officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars.

Mr. Wagner was born June 15, 1915, in Adkins, Minn., to Peter James and Edna Leora Ellis Wagner. He married Mildred L. Koob May 30, 1968, in LeMars. He had moved from LeMars to the Iowa City area in 1971.

He was a salesman for fundraising programs.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Noel of LaGrande and the Rev. James of Tanzania, East Africa; a daughter Mrs. Ruth Bradley of Lohrville; two stepsons, Don Hughes Jr. of Hawaii and Robert Hughes of LeMars; five step daughters, Mrs. Howard (Patricia) Baxter of LeMars, Mrs. Richard (Marla) Phipps and Mrs. Arden (DoniDee) Stokes both of Sioux City, and Susan and Sandra Hughes, both of Iowa City; 15 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vaughna Hendricks of Waterloo; two half sisters and five half brothers.
