MRS. ALVINA SCHUMANN
Mrs. Alvina Schumann, 63, a lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Friday (Oct. 28, 1977) at St. Joseph hospital, Sioux City, where she had been hospitalized the last month.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in LeMars with Rev. Arnold Imbrock officiating. Burial was in Resthaven cemetery, LeMars, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home. A family prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The former Alvina Schulz, she was born Sept. 3, 1914, in Stanton township, Plymouth county to Oscar and Edith Finch Schulz. Her marriage to Lawrence Schumann took place Sept. 19, 1936, at Hinton. He preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1960. Also preceding her in death were her father, two brothers and a sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Schumann had farmed south of LeMars and Mrs. Schumann continued to live on the farm until her death.
Survivors are her mother, Mrs. O. J. (Edith) Schulz, LeMars; a brother, Oscar W. Schulz, LeMars; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Marvel) Reidiger, Hinton, and Mrs. Ralph (Marian) Riediger, LeMars and nieces and nephews.
