MISS E. HARRINGTON

Miss Edith Harrington, lifelong resident of LeMars, passed away today (Sept. 7, 1953) in LeMars following a sickness of several months.

Miss Harrington has a sister, Miss Abbie Harrington, in Omaha. Remains are at Luken funeral home, pending the arrival of her sister. Complete obituary will be in Thursday’s paper. Burial will be in the city cemetery.

EDITH HARRINGTON

Edith Harrington was born July 29, 1871, at Titonic, Iowa, the daughter of Catherine Puchard Harrington and Bradford Harrington. She was never married and came to LeMars 67 years ago. She was a retired school teacher.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 9, at 2:30 p.m. at the Luken’s funeral home with Rev. Frank Patterson officiating. Burial was in the city cemetery under direction of the Luken funeral home.

Pallbearers were Jack Tindall, Henry Thompson, Arnold Coppock, Joe Shilt, Leslie Bowen, and Albert Herzig.

Mrs. Albert Herzig was pianist at the funeral and Mrs. Wesley Keizer was soloist.

One sister, Miss Abbie Harrington of Omaha, Nebraska, is the sole survivor.
