Clarence J. Reinholdt, 67, of LeMars, died Monday, July 18, 1994, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a long illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Rev. David Cave of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens, with military rites by Wasmer Post of the American Legion.
Mr. Reinholdt was born July 22, 1926, in Remsen, the son of August and Anna (Miller) Reinholdt. He attended Union Consolidated High School. He served in the Navy in naval aviation in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He married Delores Nielson on June 28, 1949. She died Jan. 31, 1971. He then married Mae Nelson on Jan. 14, 1973. He farmed in the Pierson and LeMars areas until retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Mae; a son Rodney of Palatine, Ill.; a step-son, Perry Nelson of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Harry of Remsen, Elmer of Marcus and Walter of Lawton; two sisters, Mrs. Ruben (Florence) Heimgartner of Kingsley and Dorothy Rumohr of Rogers, Ark.; three grandsons; and two step grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven, on Nov. 27, 1988, and his parents.
