EMMA PLUEGER
Emma Plueger, 81, Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died Friday (Nov. 6, 1981) at St. Joseph’s hospital, Sioux City, after a long illness.
Time of services is pending. The Mauer funeral home is in charge of arrangements. The funeral will be held at St. John's American Lutheran Church and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Emma Berg was born May 30, 1900, in Grant township, rural LeMars, to Herman and Christine Heeren Berg. She married Louis Plueger April 5, 1920, in Grant township. She was a member of St. John's church.
Mrs. Plueger lived here except from 1949 to 1958 when she resided in California.
Her husband died in February 1981. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors are three sons, Donald and Elmer Plueger, both of Hemet, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Erlene) McDougall, LeMars; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Toben and Rose Berg, both of Akron, and Ida Marienau, Hawarden, and a brother Herman Berg, Hemet.
