Lloyd Petersen

Lloyd A. Petersen, 64, LeMars, died Monday (Nov. 19, 1984) at his home after a brief illness. He was a lifelong Plymouth County resident and retired farmer.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the LeMars Church of Christ. Pat James will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday with family visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Mr. Petersen was born June 3, 1920, in Plymouth County to Jim and Dora Sorenson Petersen. He married Alene Teel, July 15, 1945, at Paducah, Tex. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Navy. He was a member of LeMars Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife, Allen, LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Kurka, DeKalb, Ill.; six sisters, Mrs. Nick (Bernice) Loutsch, Sioux City; Mrs. George (Myrtle) Schulz, Mrs. Mildred Schulz and Mrs. George (Gladys) Krause, all of LeMars; Mrs. Pearl Schulz, Merrill, and Mrs. Henry (Hazel) Hisiman, Westbrook, Minn.; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
