HELEN M. OSTERBUHR
Helen M. Osterbuhr, 75, or rural LeMars, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 23, 1992, at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's American Lutheran Church, LeMars, with Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars. Visitation at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars is after 2 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Osterbuhr was born Jan. 31, 1917, at rural LeMars to Wyatt E. and Josephine (Ostert) Phelan. She married Dick U. Osterbuhr on Oct. 26, 1941, in LeMars. He died July 12, 1983.
Mrs. Osterbuhr was a homemaker and abeautician. She was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars, the Women of the E.L.C.A., and was active in many church functions including quilting and Prayer Line.
Survivors include three sons, Ashley Osterbuhr, of Marcus, Douglas Osterbuhr and his wife, Nancy, of Merrill, and Byron Osterbuhr and his wife, Joan, of LeMars; three daughters, Linda Becker, of Citrus Heights, Calif., Sharon Schroeder and her husband, Paul, of LeMars, and Terry Moore and her husband, Bruce, of Paris, Ark.; 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Marienau of LeMars.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, and a sister.
