MRS. GUS OKERSTROM

Mrs. Gus Okerstrom, 77, 44 2nd Ave. SW, died unexpectedly Saturday (Oct. 6, 1973) at her home.

She was found Sunday morning when relatives arrived to pick her up for church.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John's American Lutheran Church with Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. William Striepe officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Tom Weidauer, Robert and Dennis Rees, Jim Moir, Carl Karlson and Lawrence Bass.

The former Emma Gwendolyn Rees, she was born Feb. 2, 1896, in LeMars, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Sarah Alice (Barrett) Rees.

She and John (Gus) Okerstrom were married Feb. 16, 1915, at Dakota City. Mrs. Okerstrom was a longtime resident of LeMars.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. John (Edith) Kammerer, Mrs. Lloyd (Dorothy)Weidauer and Mrs. William (Lucille) Dambrink, all of LeMars, and two brothers, William F. Rees of LeMars and R. L. Rees, of Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Okerstrom was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 in LeMars, two sisters, a brother and her parents.
