Mrs. Mamie Penning Dies At Pipestone;
Seney Services Held

Mrs. Mamie Clarksean Penning, 66, former Plymouth county resident, died June 28 at Pipestone, Minn., following a lingering illness. Grave side services were held Saturday in Seney.

Funeral services were held in Pipestone, Minn., this Saturday at 1 p.m. The Walz Funeral Home of Pipestone was in charge of arrangements assisted by the Luken Funeral Home of LeMars.

Mrs. Penning was born June 9, 1884 at Kewaunee, Wisc. She was married to Lyman Penning December 15, 1902 at Primghar.

After living in LeMars for five years they moved in 1908 to Ashton before moving to Pipestone, Minn., where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman, and one daughter, Mrs. Elsie P. Geary.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Eva Iverson of Jasper, Minn., Mrs. Fern Sigmund of Pipestone, Minn., and Mrs. Lila Naive of California.

Also surviving are two sons, Clarence Penning of Pipestone, Minn., and Harold Penning of California, nine grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.

Those from a distance attending the graveside services in Seney Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Selmar Iverson, Patsy and Karen of Jasper, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. George Sigmund, Charles and Michael; Clarence Penning; Lyman Geary; Mrs. Henry Penning and son, Bob, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Propp; Mr. and Mrs. William Landsman; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Severance; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Authier; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Geary, and Clarence Longstreet all of Pipestone.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Boer and son of Wentworth, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Art Abraham of Ramona, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. George Brinkman of Junius, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clarksean and daughter and Mr. Elmer Clarksean all of Gary, S. D.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clarksean of Beam; Miss Maxine Propp of Cherokee; Mr. and Mrs. George Bauman and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Winkel of Sanborn; Mr. and Mrs. John Strenge of Melvin; Mrs. Dallas Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Geary of Red Wing, Minn.

Following the services, lunch was served in the Seney hall.
